Our Team

Our Story

1973

On Mission for Ministry Workers

The first General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) established a committee to manage the retirement and benefits of the newly formed denomination and to develop a program to “meet the needs of the ministers and other workers in the church in an adequate manner.” The General Assembly established an annual offering to be taken during the Christmas season in support of ministerial relief. The Insurance Annuity and Relief (IAR) Committee was formed to care not only for our ministry workers now but for the future widows of pastors.

2002

Growing in Impact

IAR changed its name to PCA Retirement & Benefits (RBI). At that time, RBI served around 4700 church servants and managed around $150M in retirement assets.

2022

A New Name for a New Era

With incredible growth and an expanding vision, RBI re-branded to Geneva Benefits Group. Today Geneva serves over 8,000 individuals from more than 2,600 churches and ministries, and manages nearly $1B in assets.

Geneva Benefits Group is an agency of the Presbyterian Church in America.
