Geneva Benefits Group Announces the Hiring of Rev. Paul Joiner as Director of Ministerial Wellbeing

Geneva hires experienced minister to lead initiatives focused on improving ministerial wellbeing.

Lawrenceville, GAGeneva Benefits Group, the leading provider of retirement and benefits services for the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), is thrilled to announce the hiring of Rev. Paul Joiner as the first Director of Ministerial Wellbeing.

In this critical role, Paul will oversee and administer Geneva’s programs promoting the holistic health of pastors and ministry workers across the denomination. Additionally, he will collaborate with other leaders across the organization to develop new, innovative programs that further enrich the lives of ministry staff. Paul will also oversee Geneva’s Relief programs, ensuring efficient and effective support for those in need.

Paul Joiner brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the church’s health. Since 2009, he has been the Senior Pastor of Zion Church in Columbia, TN. Prior to that, he spent 11 years as a Campus Minister for Reformed University Fellowship. Paul has a track record of proven leadership, and his passion for the holistic health of pastors and ministry workers makes him an ideal fit for this new position.

“As we pursue our vision of advancing the gospel and fostering thriving churches, we recognize the pivotal role of ministerial wellbeing in achieving these goals,” said Rev. Ed Dunnington, President of Geneva Benefits Group. “We’re delighted to welcome Paul to our team, knowing that his experience, heart for the church, and dedication to the holistic health of pastors and ministry workers will greatly benefit those we serve.”

“A healthy church requires healthy ministry workers,” said Paul. “As someone who has experienced ministry burnout and renewal, it will be a privilege to serve those who serve and support those who care for others. I’m thankful for this new role and look forward to seeing pastors and other ministry workers flourish in their calling.”
