Geneva Benefits Group Announces New Partnership with Fidelity for 403(b)(9) Retirement Plans

Geneva Benefits Group Transitions to Fidelity Investments as recordkeeper

Lawrenceville, GAGeneva Benefits Group, the leading provider of retirement and benefits services for the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), is pleased to announce that Fidelity Investments will serve as recordkeeper for all Geneva 403(b)(9) retirement plans, beginning November 2025.

For more than 50 years, Geneva Benefits Group has provided retirement and benefits services to the PCA, and recently expanded to provide services to other North American Presbyterian and Reformed Council (NAPARC) denominations, including the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church (ARPC) and Korean American Presbyterian Church (KAPC). While the organization enjoyed a decades-long relationship with its previous recordkeeper, Geneva’s growth and reach of services required a provider with increased capacity. The move to Fidelity, which services 59 faith-based plans, will enable Geneva to provide an even higher level of customer service to meet the growing needs of our churches and their employees.

“We are excited to partner with Fidelity as we strive to continually improve our service experience to our participants,” shares Ed Dunnington, President of Geneva Benefits Group. “Given the expanded resources, increased customer service capabilities, and lower fees that come with the transition, Geneva’s Board has given this move its full support.”

In retirement plans, a recordkeeper is essentially a bookkeeper of the plan. Simply stated, they maintain accurate records of the plan including assets, contributions, and distributions. Participants in a retirement plan can track their investments, manage their account, and reach out for support through the recordkeeper’s website, mobile application, or customer call center. Geneva is confident the move will allow them to serve even more ministry leaders, more effectively.

For participants, Fidelity’s platform will improve in-person customer service, enhance the online experience, heighten cybersecurity, and reduce fees. For church administrators, benefits include resources to more easily remit and track contributions, extended call center hours, and reporting to assess the retirement readiness of employees.

Geneva is committed to providing the best quality service to all plan participants so they can live generously and flourish in every season of ministry. By partnering with leading providers like Fidelity, retirement plan participants gain greater access to the tools and resources they need to set themselves up for financial success well beyond their working years. As always, Geneva is poised to guide each participant through the planning process to ensure they and their families are well cared for at each stage of ministry.

Starting November 2025, retirement plan participants will access their retirement plan through Fidelity, not our previous provider. Participants will not need to take any action at this time, nor will they be asked to reenroll at any point. Although the move to Fidelity will not occur until November 2025, more information regarding the change can be found now at genevabenefits.org/fidelity.
